But why am I posting about Al Raposas? Well, you should all know that Al of Filipino Historian blog is not a braggart blabbering online about his magna cum laude degree in history; he's a genuine digital citizen and a passionate blogger like me. He is quite exceptional at creating engaging content on olden times that people from various backgrounds can access freely.
Now, if Al is proud of the niche that he has built on cyberspace, he has also shown his love for his fellow bloggers. And I'd like to thank him for giving First Filipino Blog a veritable Blogger Recognition Award!

What is this blog's value by the way?
First Filipino is an online archive of trailblazers with Filipino blood. This blog is already 12 years old; older than WikiPilipinas.org (launched 2007) that also features a "Who's Who" of prominent Filipinos. In fact, WikiPilipinas recognizes First Filipino Blog as a reference for its Filipino Firsts page. It has captured the phrase "First Filipino" and "First Filipina" or "Filipino firsts" as a label to describe Filipino pioneers, innovators and achievers in various fields (arts, sciences, humanities, entertainment, governance, business, etc.).
Tips for new bloggers
Before you embark on your digital journey as a blogger, you'll need 2 valuable things:
- Unique content, in my experience, is an audience-generator.
- Audience/readers that benefit from your posts.
That's what blogging is all about — giving great unique content to your readers and, in response, readers acknowledging your blog's worth. And if you want to find out more of its beginnings, you'll have to read my Blogmaster @ First Filipino article.
